'I attended this writing workshop with no confidence that I could produce much more than a paragraph.
Glenys made it easy with simple tasks, I found myself writing pages, and (perhaps even more astonishing to me), reading what I had written to the group! Glenys is an excellent teacher/mentor, and I left feeling inspired and encouraged to continue writing.'
'Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.'
- Benjamin Franklin

We have had some wonderful workshops and events at Wishing Tree House.
Check out our gallery for pictures from our past events.
With Judith Shaw Prize-winning poet and experienced creative writing tutor. Using a variety of different exercises, this workshop will give you the confidence to start or to continue writing poems. Learning from other poets, we will explore how to use life experiences in poetry, how sound and rhythm make a poem sing, ways of finding unusual images and how to develop your first draft and improve it. Bring paper and pen and an open mind.
Turning over the funny bone. A workshop with Special Guest VG Lee, who co-facilitated with Glenys Jacques (artist & psychotherapist).
Our History of Herbs; The 9 Herbs Charm with permaculture and gardener Anna Locke and Glenys Jacques. We explored the ways to keep the immune system strong and vital using special herbs that Anna brought for us to identify.
